Wilson Creek Winery is located in the heart of Southern California Wine Country. Our award-winning family estate winery features lush grounds and a beautiful tasting room, restaurant, and Tuscan-themed events center. We are known in Temecula Valley as the fun family winery with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We are seeking a full-time Tasting Room Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for managing the daily functions of the Tasting Room.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree or ten years sales and hospitality management experience; or combination of education and experience.
Minimum five years’ experience as a manager in the hospitality industry, preferably in a high end restaurant and/or winery tasting room.
Must have similar experience from an operational & hospitality perspective.
Proven track record of setting and achieving Sales goals from marketing and promotional conception to execution.
Proven track record of increasing sales year over year.
Professional demeanor with exceptional guest service qualifications.
Natural leader, trainer and mentor with extensive employee training and development experience within the industry. 
Ability to motivate staff in order to achieve ultimate results and goals of the company.
Experience in managing large groups of employee and possess the skills needed to develop employees and the overall experience provided by the employees to the guests.
Familiar with departmental, operational budget development, forecasting and implementation. Must also have extensive experience in inventory and supplies cost management.
Strategic & communication skills to assist the management team to reach the overall company goals.
Computer proficient and management oversight. Knowledge in Outlook, Excel, Word, POS and Inventory Control Systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Motivate and direct department in a team-oriented style that places the highest priority on guest service and sales that is consistent, knowledgeable, efficient and professional.
Provide effective, nurturing leadership that motivates personnel in a team success-oriented approach. Instills a can-do attitude within an atmosphere of open straight forward and thorough individual/team communication.
Collaborate with management team to develop and facilitate strategies for new functionality and processes to improve the tasting room’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Works closely with Marketing Department for advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail as it relates to the tasting room & Wine Club.
Develop budgets and implement strategic sales plan in order to achieve corporate objectives and service.
Works with Accounting Department in the preparation of monthly sales financial reports before presentation to the GM and BOD.
Directs staff activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Approves bonus calculation for staff.
Analyzes and controls expenditures of wine and non-wine sales to conform to budgetary requirements.
Continual training for employees in sales and wine knowledge to effectively educate both team members and guests.
One on One training and role playing to increase sales and guest satisfaction.
Strategic planning responsibilities: Direct management of team to continually develop growth in terms of guest satisfaction, presentation, team building and overall sales and net profit increases.
Ability to integrate and continue a collaborative working environment between Wine Club and Tasting Room to increase sales and enhance the overall guest experience.
