Summary:
Fazeli Cellars seeks a Cellar Worker who is a detail oriented and can follow direction given by the Winemaker and Assistant Winemaker. The Cellar Worker performs daily winemaking and production tasks from receiving grapes to bottling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Under direction of winemaker, perform winemaking and lab tasks, including but not limited to wine fermentation, additions, racking, blending, barrel maintenance, equipment sanitation, and bottling.
• Execute barrel work, including racking, topping, SO2 additions and sanitation, according to winemaker direction.
• Help maintain bulk wine and case goods inventories tracking wine movement.
• Perform lab work, as needed.
• Assist with trial blends and blend tastings for evaluation purposes.
• Ensure all areas of the facility are clean including tank yard, lab, warehouse and grounds.
• Keep all areas clean and safe for guests.
• Perform any additional duties as requested.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years prior cellar experience including knowledge of winemaking, laboratory procedures, bottling and production workflow.
• Detail oriented, motivated self-starter that can work with minimum guidance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods climb stairs and work at heights.
• Must be able to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
• Certified to operate a forklift
• Must be able to speak English
Pay:
• $18-$22/hour DOE
