Located in the Santa Ynez Valley, Brave & Maiden Estate is devoted to crafting exceptional wines, with our primary focus of cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon and other exquisite Bordeaux varietals. Dedicated to precision and a philosophy of minimal intervention, we meticulously produce luxury wines that captivate the senses.
We are excitedly searching for a passionate and driven individual to join our team for the upcoming 2023 harvest season. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in every aspect of the harvest process, collaborating closely with a close-knit team in our state of the art winery.
Responsibilities of the role, include but not limited to:
Crushpad: fruit processing, sanitizing, cleaning
Fermentation: pump overs, punchdowns, brix/temp record keeping
Cellar: barrel prep, barrel filling, equipment sanitizing
Vineyard: sampling, maybe some weeding and yield control if time
Laboratory: run lab equipment, (oenofoss, wet chemistry) and data entry.
Requirements:
We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and well-organized Harvest Intern who also possesses communication and time management skills.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner at all times.
Stand for long periods of time, lift up to 60 pounds, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, twist, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed.

The internship is a seasonal position that will commence on September 1st and extend until a flexible ending date in mid-November. Please note that the role entails long days, including weekends and holidays.
