The role of Delegat Tasting host is to conduct in-store wine tastings representing our super-premium wine brands, Oyster Bay and Barossa Valley Estate, at leading retail outlets.
This is a part-time position and hours will vary. Applicants should have the flexibility to work on Fridays, Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings for approximately 3 hours, as tastings are generally held on those days.
This position requires that you are/have:
- legal age to serve alcohol;
- able to lift at least 40 pounds as you’ll be moving products around for tastings;
- able to stand for long periods of time as you’ll be standing throughout tastings;
- comfortable using a computer, tablet or smartphone and own one of these devices;
- have reliable internet access and a personal e-mail account; and
- have access to your own reliable transportation .
Ideal candidate will have:
- strong communication skills to positive promote our products to influence sales;
- professional customer services skills;
- an interest in the wine industry;
- strong communication and customer service skills; and
- an interest in the wine industry
A background in sales, retail or hospitality will be highly regarded. We offer an attractive hourly rate with full training and ongoing support. Your work may be eligible for college course credit (check with your course supervisor).
