Natural Wine Tasting Bar Associate

At Nico Wine our mission is to make wine more accessible and enjoyable. We want to  welcome customers to a new wine culture that is bright, energetic and affordable. Our program emphasizes flights, helping customers navigate the flavors of natural wine through expert-led progressions. The retail selection will follow monthly themes, becoming an everyday source for the newly indoctrinated.  

Your role will be to help define and carry out this experience. As a member of our hospitality team, the front of house experience is yours to shape into a unique, yet organized program. Hours are flexible, with mostly afternoon and evening shifts. 

Responsibilities

These are the foundational tasks that will be expected for this role:

Customer Experience 

  • Assist customers with recommendations to personalize their experience, and drive sales 

  • Create in-store and online materials for customer education, such as tasting notes

  • Record customer notes in the POS, including preferences and opportunities to improve their experience overall

  • Create an warm, welcoming environment where both the wine novice and connoisseur feel at home

Daily Operations 

  • Sales and service of wines, beer, prepared foods and merchandise 

  • Maintaining a clean, secure and safe work environment

    • Regularilly disinfecting the store, including the bathroom

    • Ensuring fixtures, appliances and furniture are in good condition, and noting when maintenance is needed

    • Reporting any issues with security, customer service, or employee concerns
