Human Resources Administrative Assistant (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are seeking a new team member! Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and guidance and support of the General Manager, President and Management team, this organized individual performs a wide variety of support activities in employment, compensation, payroll, unemployment, insurance, benefits, employee relations, workers' compensation, training and related areas. This person will prepare and maintain employee human resources files, records, and information. They will process departmental forms, records and documents. This person may be involved with employment applicants for nonexempt positions, including reference screening and background checks. Conducts employee orientation. Provides translation services. Operates with Frog’s Leap mission driven spirit and with commitment and respect for our employees.

Core Functions:

1. Respond to employee benefit questions, including, but not limited to: health, vision, dental, 401k, and vacation benefits, resolve problems regarding access to benefits.
2. Interpret HR policies, counseling employees concerning work related problems, provide assistance to line management regarding employee relations practices.
3. Ensure good legal standing and compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to employee rights – including documentation and supervisor training.
4. Prepare and maintain Human Resources and employee benefits data, reports and files, conduct census reports, compensation reviews, and maintain internal tracking.
5. Process bi-weekly payroll.
6. Assist with general administrative duties: faxing, copying, mailing, maintaining general and staff calendars.
7. Ensure a safe and comfortable work environment for office personnel prepare, file and record accident reports.
8. Administration of workers' compensation claims.
9. Respond to unsolicited résumé offerings and maintain a file of persons interested.
10. Assist in hiring process and conduct new hire orientations
11. Organize, maintain and update FL employee handbook
12. Provide translation services Spanish-English/ English-Spanish

Qualifications: Higher education degree, one to four years of administrative experience and a strong work ethic are required. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills along with the ability to manage multiple priorities are required. Ability to speak, read, write and understand both English and Spanish. Proficiency in Word and Excel is essential. Experience with Paycom, AgCode and experience inside an agricultural business or winery is desired.
