Objective and Scope of Position:
As part of our growing Business2Business team, the Copywriter will play a critical role in the development of our new digital presence, which is focused on a content-rich experience. The Editorial Copywriter will work collaboratively the Marketing team to edit existing content and write new content as needed to support our new website launch. The Editorial Copywriter must demonstrate a passion for storytelling through copy as well as strong project management, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential to successfully work cross-functionally both internally and with vendors/agencies.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Requirements

5 years of digital copyediting experience (website, emails, mobile site/apps)

Experience with copywriting and authoring

Bachelor’s in relevant field required

Skillful editor; conscientious about structure, grammar, editorial style, syntax

Detail-oriented and sensitive to the visual execution of copy and the design of content
-
Excellent understanding of eCommerce and SEO strategy, especially as it applies to content
-
Practical understanding of online usability as it relates to User Experience design
-
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Photo Shop and Illustrator
-
Strong familiarity with professional style manuals and guidebooks
-
Eager to understand and learn about Wine, Beer, and Spirits categories
-
Proactive, willing to search for information instead of waiting for others to provide it

Creative in problem solving, organized and innovative

Able to prioritize work and be flexible with rapidly shifting priorities and deadlines

Able to maintain quality under deadline pressure

Excellent people skills and demonstrated excitement about building collaborative relationships
