Groth Vineyards & Winery is currently seeking candidates for an entry-level full time cellar position to assist our wine making team in all aspects of wine production. Ideal candidate would have at least one harvest of experience at a winery and possess the skills, and motivation to help implement our written procedures and our wine making philosophy. Individuals selected for this position must be reliable, punctual, have a good work ethic, possess effective communication skills, be able to follow written and verbal instructions and must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime and varying shifts. Candidates must have a positive attitude and the ability to foster our team-oriented environment. Applicants must be able to consistently perform in a professional manner while working with a small team especially under the pressure and demands of this industry.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Safe operation, cleaning, sanitizing and sterilizing of all winery equipment and facilities.
Understands pump types and appropriate usages
Racking and transferring of juice and wine from various vessels (i.e. tankers, tanks, barrels)
Make wine and juice chemistry adjustments
Have barrel skills i.e. scanning, racking, filling, topping, cleaning, and ozone application, basic repair
Bottling line sanitation and prep
Forklift operations after completion of certification
Follows, observes, and helps to enforce all safe cellar practices.
Sufficient reading, writing and math skills.
Must possess valid CA Driver’s License
