Quality Control Lab Technician
Papagni Wines, a well-established winery in the San Joaquin Valley, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Lab Technician to work full-time with our Winemaker in Madera, California.
The Quality Control Lab Technician is a key position within our company. We are seeking an individual able to perform routine production, harvest analysis, utilize appropriate methods as required including automated and wet chemistry, equipment calibration, reagent standardization, and recordkeeping as well as data entry. Our ideal candidate possesses:
Ability to perform all production and harvest analysis.
Strong working knowledge of laboratory analysis and methodology.
Understanding of the production of the wine process.
Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform wine and juice analysis such as Brix, TA, pH, residual sugar, FSO2, TSO2, and specific gravity.
Maintain all lab equipment.
Calibrates and operates all laboratory instruments/equipment according to SOP’s.
Knowledge of Winemakers Database (WMDB) and excel spreadsheet.
Lab Analysis Skills.
Ability to operate a personal computer.
Maintain inventory and order lab and winemaking supplies.
Ensure proper documentation of all additions, movement and changes in the lab books.
