Thomas George Estates is a small family run winery which crushes about 300 tons of premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon from four distinctive estate vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Thomas George is committed to producing wines which demonstrate site specificity and vintage character. To that end we are vigilant in the vineyard and in the cellar in order to reflect these specific qualities.
Harvest interns will be expected to perform the following tasks: crop estimates, vineyard sampling, canopy management, winery sanitation, fruit selection, fermentation management, barrel work and laboratory analysis. Internships will begin in June/July and continue through October with the potential to extend longer. One harvest experience preferable.
Qualifications:
• Keen eye for detail.
• Must have at least one harvest experience.
• Must be up to physical task of performing vineyard and cellar work which includes the ability to climb an 8’ ladder and lift 50 lbs. for extended hours.
• Hold a clean DMV driving record.
• Spanish language skills a plus.
