As the first point of contact for our guests, the Concierge plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience. CONCIERGE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Estate Concierge is responsible for responding to a wide variety of guest requests by assessing guest needs and adding personal recommendations to exceed their expectations.
• Guest Services:
o Greet and assist guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
o Provide top-tier customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, reservations, and special requests; resolves customer complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
o Respond to guest requests in an accurate and timely manner via email, phone, text messaging (RedChirp).
• Administrative:
o Ensure reservation system (Tock) is accurate and guest requests are noted. Maintain reservation calendar to ensure tasting experiences are aligned with scheduling. Create, edit, and modify tasting experiences and events.
o Maintain a neat and organized workspace, ensuring a visually appealing and functional lobby area.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE:
o Stay informed about local events, dining options, and entertainment to make personalized recommendations.
o Collaborate with team members to address guest needs and enhance their overall experience.
o Assist in developing best practices for reservation intake, confirmation, and follow-up.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior experience in customer service, retail, or related field working with the public (wine industry experience a plus).
• A warm and gracious personality with demonstrated enthusiasm and passion, and an instantly recognizable service heart.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented and strong ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent computer skills and time-sensitivity to correspondence. Ability to learn new systems quickly with training.
• Displays professionalism in both appearance and verbal/written communications.
• Team player with a consistently positive attitude and outlook, handling even in the most difficult situations with gracious positivity.
• Proficiency in POS/CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and on occasion evenings.
• Proficient in WineDirect and Tock a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
• Ability to work in a standing and/or walking position for long periods of time.
• Ability to effectively stock wine and non-wine merchandise, set up and break down structures, tables, etc., and be able to utilize dolly cart or other equipment to move heavy objects.
