Job Description:

Objective: Our Digital Marketing Coordinator must be creative, motivated and possess a high attention to detail with a passion for wine & Sonoma County. Keys to success in this role include: the ability to effectively communicate and engage with customers, promote our organization in a positive, authentic and compelling way, and create impactful content that resonates with our audience, converting fans into repeat visitors and customers. Coordinator will work with Marketing Manager to design and implement social media strategy to align with the organization’s goals.

Our Organization: The Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley is a trade association of over 60 wineries and 125 winegrape growers. The Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley is dedicated to advancing the recognition, preservation and enhancement of Dry Creek Valley as a premium winegrowing region through promotion, protection and educational activities. Our annual event, Passport to Dry Creek Valley, brings thousands of wine connoisseurs into Sonoma County for the longest running food & wine festival of its kind.

Social Media:
•  Grow Dry Creek Valley’s social following through engagement and creative content
•  Take high quality photos and videos for distribution on appropriate social channels
•  Manage all published content and conversations on the appropriate communication platform
•  Maintain content calendar accommodating the email marketing, event and holiday calendars
•  Give followers a 360 degree look into our AVA and its wineries and winegrowers
•  Respond appropriately to questions and comments across all social media channels
•  Engage in online conversations about Dry Creek Valley wines
•  Work with Marketing Manager to develop and expand influencer outreach efforts
•  Attend and document various events within our AVA and other partner events
•  Maintain brand identity across social platforms
•  Create and distribute digital media report on a monthly basis
•  Design, create and manage social promotions being sure to integrate with the organization’s overall marketing campaign plan and channels.
•  Manage video uploads, configuration and tagging to YouTube
•  Ability to write creatively.

•  Maintain winery event calendar
•  Assist organization with implementation of new website
•  Create blog posts for the WDCV website

•  Work with Marketing Manager to help develop content and design twice monthly Consumer Newsletter
•  Work with Executive Director to curate monthly Member Newsletter

•  Update and add to database (Salesforce) as needed
•  Propose campaigns based on observed data entries

•  Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or other related field preferred
•  1-3+ years of experience in social media marketing / digital content creation
•  Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
•  Deep knowledge and understanding of the various social media platform (Facebook, Twitter,
•  Instagram, YouTube, etc.) functionality, metrics, and strategy
•  Experience executing social media strategies.
•  Possesses excellent writing and language skills
•  Passion for wine and food
•  Computer/digital proficiency: Word, Excel,, MailChimp, WordPress, Video Editing
•  Meet weekly in our office in Healdsburg, CA
•  Travel between wineries and vineyards within the AVA to create content
•  Ability to travel throughout the Bay Area and occasionally beyond, as needed
•  Attend Passport to Dry Creek Valley Weekend – April 24-26
•  Ability to periodically work evenings and weekends as needed
•  Experience with content development and publishing required
•  Must have your own lap-top & production equipment

Preferred Qualifications:
•  Experience with professional cameras (DSLR) and photography preferred; quality mobile phone photography & videos will also be considered
•  Experience with Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. preferred
