The Part-Time Estate Ambassador plays a vital role in representing the Bacigalupi family story, our historic vineyards, and our award-winning wines. This position offers the unique opportunity to work directly alongside third-generation family members, gaining firsthand knowledge of our history, farming practices, and commitment to exceptional hospitality.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-driven individual who is passionate about wine, people, and creating meaningful experiences. More than simply conducting tastings, our Estate Ambassadors serve as storytellers, educators, and advocates for the Bacigalupi brand, helping guests develop a genuine connection to our wines and family.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Deliver warm, personalized hospitality that reflects the welcoming spirit of a family-owned winery.
• Guide guests through seated tastings, vineyard experiences, and educational conversations about Bacigalupi Vineyards, Russian River Valley viticulture, and our wines.
• Ensure every guest visit is seamless, memorable, and exceeds expectations from arrival through departure.

Relationship Building

• Develop genuine relationships with guests, wine club members, and trade partners.
• Foster long-term connections that encourage repeat visits, referrals, and club membership growth.
• Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador of the Bacigalupi family story and winery heritage.

Wine Sales & Club Memberships

• Confidently present and recommend wines while identifying opportunities to grow direct-to-consumer sales.
• Introduce guests to the benefits of wine club membership and encourage enrollment through authentic relationship-building.
• Follow up with guests and members as needed to strengthen engagement and loyalty.

Operational Excellence

• Accurately process transactions and reservations using winery POS (Commerce 7) and reservation systems. 
• Assist with inventory management, wine stocking, tasting room setup, and daily operational tasks.
• Maintain detailed guest notes and customer records to support exceptional service.

Event Support

• Assist with winery events, member gatherings, harvest celebrations, and special hospitality experiences.
• Support setup, execution, and breakdown while maintaining a high standard of service.

Tasting Room & Property Care

• Perform daily opening and closing duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the tasting room, hospitality spaces, and guest areas.
• Help create an inviting environment that reflects the pride and care of a family-owned estate.

Professionalism

• Represent Bacigalupi Vineyards with integrity, positivity, and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with family members and fellow team members to support a culture of hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

Hospitality & Sales Experience

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in hospitality, wine sales, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to connect with people.

Passion for Wine & Family-Owned Businesses

• Genuine enthusiasm for wine, agriculture, hospitality, and the Russian River Valley wine community.
• Interest in learning and sharing the history of Bacigalupi Vineyards and our multi-generational family legacy.

Technical Skills

• Comfortable using POS systems, reservation platforms, Word, Excel and Adobe
• Previous winery software experience is a plus but not required.

Flexibility

• Availability to work weekends, select holidays, and special winery events.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• The winery is closed on Tuesdays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods throughout the workday.

Part-Time Position | Weekend Availability Required | Russian River Valley, Sonoma County

Compensation includes hourly rate, pooled tips, sales commission and wine incentives.
Actual hourly rate will be determined
