This is a PART-TIME "Wine Educator" position for SATURDAY and SUNDAYS. Hours: 9am-5pm, Saturdays and Sundays

Hours:

*This is a Part-Time position.
*9am-5pm, Saturdays and Sundays

Job Summary:

*Host our two hospitality experiences: our 60 minute standing Tasting in the Cellar, and our 90 minute seated Mountainside Tasting.
*Educate guests on the Burgess Cellars story, vineyards and winemaking process.
*Promote the sale and maintenance of wine club membership.
*Operate Vin65 (WineDirect) POS system, executing daily transactions and arranging shipping.
*Maintain the hospitality facilities with a meticulous eye for detail, including daily cleaning, restocking, merchandising.
*Participate and assist with special hospitality events that occur at the winery.

Job Requirements:
*Is knowledgeable about wines, accurately describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, appellations, and unique aspects of wines.
*Takes the initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, general hospitality, and for acquiring effective sales techniques and acumen.
*Previous tasting room or restaurant experience preferred.
*Must be 21 years of age.
*Possesses professional appearance and demeanor.
*High level customer service and communication skills.
*Experience in hospitality or restaurants required.
*Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
*Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license.
*Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 40 lbs.
*Ability to operate a POS (Vin65/WineDirect) system and conduct sales transactions.

COMPENSATION
*Hourly Rate
*4% sales commission
*Wine Club acquisition bonuses
