Wines in Tandem is a new wine shop that includes an excellent bottle selection and several wine tasting rooms. In the next few months, we’ll open the doors to a reserve-style wine tasting and education experience, and are looking to hire a leader to manage the shop, tasting room, and staff.
The Role
The tasting room manager will be responsible for the wine and service aspects of the tasting room, with help from the business owner and additional team members. The role requires someone that is passionate about wine, knowledgeable about wine tastings, and has great experience working in or managing the tasting room of a premium winery.
The hard word of this manager, along with their ability to form connections with our customers, will be a huge asset to the success of the business. Because of that, this role has the potential for long term growth and an ownership stake in the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and conduct tastings for our tasting bar and tasting rooms
- Organize, arrange tastings for groups and private events
- Manage guests and reservations using our software tools
- Help create and design food and bite pairings
- Manage, schedule, and help train tasting room staff
- Learn and respond to the needs of our ideal customers
- Work with a positive attitude and make continuous improvements
Hours are roughly 1pm to 6pm, Wednesday through Sunday. Friday till 8pm.
Starting pay is $30/hr, which totals $48,000/yr, plus tips.
Opportunities for commission and bonuses raise earning potential to $72,000/yr.
Long term potential for increased responsibility and earnings based on performance.
About You

The right candidate has the following experience:
- 4 year college degree
- Experience in fine dining restaurant or wine bar
- Experience in a winery tasting room
- Wine sales or wine club management
- Domestic wines, yes, but also wines of Europe
- Intermediate or advanced level wine education courses
