Winery Harvest Intern (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

We are a family-owned winery specializing in small lot productions of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from the Santa Lucia Highlands.

We are currently looking for harvest interns for the 2023 vintage to work at our production facility near Monterey. Harvest offers a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of small lot wine production. As an intern, you will work directly with our veteran winemaker, Scott Shapley.

We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who can follow written and verbal instructions to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates for the position should be interested in wine, have positive attitudes, be detailed-oriented, and willing to work hard.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Equipment and Tank Sanitation
•  Crushing, Sorting, Destemming
•  Inoculations
•  Fermentation Monitoring and Additions
•  Cap management
•  Drain and Press Operations
•  Barrel Preparation
•  Operation of harvest equipment
•  General winery clean up
•  Must be able to push or pull 100 lbs
•  Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders and at heights

Duration: Late September to Early November (2 full months)
