We know great wines are made by great people. We are looking for a talented person to begin work in our laboratory through the harvest. Permanent employment may be offered at the end of the 2011 harvest.
Our winery laboratory is very involved in the wine making process from analyzing grapes, to fermentation monitoring, wine analyses, grower barrel lot maintenance, sensory analyses and blending trials preparation. The laboratory is well equipped and powerful with modern analyzers.
This position is for someone who has some formal training in enology from an academic institution, or well rounded industry experience. It entails being flexible during harvest as we work many hours per week with the flow of grape deliveries. Other requirements for this position are: excellent science & math skills along with good organization, heavy lifting and ability to carry 50 lbs., valid CDL, a wine enthusiast, a sense of humor, must be dedicated to the trade.
