We have a great direct-hire full-time opportunity for an experienced Event Manager (Sales and Planning)
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Customer service experience is required as well as a strong sales background in the weddings and events.
- Minimum 5+ years in Sales, Catering Manager, or similar role.
- Event Management - ideal if in a hotel/restaurant or winery environment
- Use of application software - Excel, Word, SAP, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
- Ability to multi-task using telephone, computer, and written communications.
- Copywriting skills, excellent grammar, organization, and time management skills.
- Self-motivation, proactive problem solving, follow-through and ability to work with limited supervision
- Sales strategy knowledge in launching luxury events venue
- New business & leads for event business
- Created and maintained strategic partnerships (wedding planners, social contacts, and other industry support)
- Attended trade shows, Community events, and industry meetings.
- Knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
- Planned and executed frequent events for strategic partners
- Managed all communication for qualified leads and conduct site inspections for potential clients
- Established event proposals and offers
- Event rate structure
- Achieved financial goals annually
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude and demeanor is a must.

$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year plus bonus
