Summary:

Ponte Family Estate Winery seeks a Wedding Sales Coordinator to provide exceptional service to our couples who are getting married! The Wedding Sales Coordinator is responsible for effectively selling, detailing and coordinating all weddings ensuring that the guests expectations are exceeded.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Bridal Consultant (100%)

• To ensure guest satisfaction and profitability is maximized at every opportunity.
• To uphold professional standards of excellence and set an example to all other associates at all times.
• Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
• Accepts all requests for proposals and pursues all leads for wedding business including responding to inquiries and executing proposals and contracts.
• Develop and distribute all communications related to the planning and execution of group functions, including but not limited to banquet event orders (BEO’s) and room sets according to the established guidelines.
• Responsible for all payment information and collecting deposits outlined in the contract and per standard operating procedures.
• Convert prospective clients into committed customers through on-site visits/meetings, property tours and proactive communication.
• Maintain positive and productive relationships with internal departments and operations.
• Committed to managing clients by providing the highest level of service and integrity.
• Be and remain on site for all of your planned rehearsals, weddings and events.
• Assist in the selling/planning of other associate’s groups as needed and directed by the Wedding Manager.
• Attends sales meetings and weekly banquet event order meetings.
• Provides the results of the wedding surveys to management.
• Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.
• To maintain a clean work environment and uphold all Health and Safety Regulations.
• Always have higher expectations for service levels.
• Be confident in taking the lead in any guest issues that may arise during your shift and communicate these to your Manager immediately.
• Ensure that all duties are carried out before the end of shift.
• Assist fellow Associates with additional job duties as business dictates and is required.
• Understands and adhere to the Ponte values and service standards.
• Greet guests with a smile and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.

Experience and Skills:

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

• Minimum of three years of wedding sales and coordinating experience.
• Solid knowledge of sales principles, techniques and practices common in the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals by effectively negotiating and closing business.
• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma)
• Fluent in English

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Has attention to detail and the ability to follow direction and abide by standard operating procedures.
• Ability to focus for an entire shift, trouble shooting and prioritizing skills.
• Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Caterease experience desirable but not required.

Knowledge

• Hospitality/Food and Beverage industry background and experience.

Physical

• Ability to walk around for long periods of time during the entire shift.
• This position also works primarily behind a desk for long periods of time using a standard keyboard and mouse while looking at a computer monitor.
• Ability to work in high temperatures.
• Our Wedding Sales Coordinator's are seated in a temperature controlled, comfortable environment.
