Accounting Clerk (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Summary:

Responsible for journal entries, tax reporting, payables and accounting functions as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand, enforce and teach the Ponte values, service standards
• Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
• Record transactions for cash, sales and expenses ensuring that financials statements are prepared accurately and timely.
• Assist with preparing reports for federal and state alcohol permits.
• Assist in preparing sales tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis according to state requirements.
• Assist with processing accounts payable ensuring vendor payment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor inventory in bonded storage areas and enter transactions from bonded storage into POS system.
• Monitor time and attendance to ensure accuracy of bi-weekly reports to payroll.
• Monthly & weekly inventory of wine and food.
• Any other duties as assigned by Manager

Experience and Skills:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
• Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
• Is consistently striving to be better.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Courteous and has the ability to smile spontaneously.
• Quickbooks experience preferred.
