Vineyard Technician (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Our Ranch Technicians participate in the monitoring of and in the accurate collection of vineyard performance data ensuring that the company’s level of product quality and operational performance is being met. 

What You Will Do:

• Participates in monitoring and collecting data such as pressure bomb readings, pest checks, vine water status, vine health, canopy conditions, petioles and soil conditions.
• Collects labor and equipment operations performance data.
• Participates in monitoring research and production block vines.
• Collects soil samples; performs fruit sugar sampling and testing prior to and during harvest.
• Performs vineyard scouting.
• Collaborates with ranch technicians and ranch leaders to accomplish respective assignments.
• Participates in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ensures that day-to-day actions and decisions taken are consistent with all quality standards.
• Participates in the training and coaching of vineyard associates.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Required to work any shift and work overtime when required.
• Required to lift and move up to 50 lbs. 
• Skilled in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of background check. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
