Controller

Skills/Qualifications:
· Ability to juggle multiple projects across several business units, with new projects coming in regularly
· Oversee and assist company’s day to day accounting activities; general ledger account reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and directing and supporting the financial close monthly
· Processing company payroll through outsourced payroll company
· Overseeing company insurance policies and in charge of yearly renewals
· 401k plan oversight and maintenance
· Work closely with the company CFO and Senior Accountant to ensure financials are kept up to date
· Responsible for costing of bulk wine and bottling activities
· Assist in the preparation of reviewed financials and tax returns with outside CPA’s.
· Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
· Show an ability to extract data from \software and present in an actionable way
· Filing Quarterly sales tax returns and making prepayments as required
· Assist the CFO and Managing Partner with generating financial reporting for presentation to Partners and Board of Directors, as well as with the creating of annual Operating and Capital Budgets
· Work with other members of the accounting team to monitor cash flow
Your background and experience should include:
· Good attention to detail and good judgment showing logical decision making
· Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
· Strong computer skills
· Prior experience processing company payroll
· Clear leadership capability including high ethical standards, self-confidence and the ability to work well with other people at all levels.
· Ability to prioritize effectively is essential

Job Type: Full-time
Required experience: CPA Preferred and must and have a BS in Accounting and/or Finance with 4+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, as well as experience handling and processing payroll.
