Award winning Napa Valley winery is recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator who is looking for a career opportunity in the wine industry. This position will report to the Controller and will work with the Senior Staff Accountant on the month-end close and special projects. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for all the daily processes within the accounts payable function. Duties to include: GL account coding, obtaining proper approvals for vendor invoices, preparing checks for weekly check run, entering credit card receipts into the accounting system and reconciling the monthly statements to the general ledger. Maintain vendor accounts, issue 1099’s at year-end, respond to vendor inquiries, prepare weekly aging reports for the cashflow committee and oversee the accounting filing system and off-site storage. In addition to AP some light Accounts Receivable duties to include: preparation of custom winery services invoices, process check deposits via remote scanner, assist with collection operations to include printing, mailing, emailing wholesale customer statements and maintain integrity of AR Aging report and other accounting tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years accounting experience, winery experience preferred
- Associates degree in accounting preferred but not required.
- Proficient use of Excel, Word and QuickBooks Enterprise or similar accounting software.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and maintain high standards of accuracy with strong attention to detail as well as an investigative problem solver.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Highly organized, accurate, detail and multi-task oriented.
- Ability to complete tasks in an accurate manner within established time constraints.
- Good judgement, versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm and a sense of humor is needed.
- Ability to work with constantly changing priorities and work in a shared office space.
