Maintenance Mechanic (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Carneros Vintners is seeking an energetic and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. Under general supervision, the position will perform a wide variety of skilled mechanic and electrical duties to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify the grounds and facility production equipment. This position will report to the General Manager.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Interacts with General Manager to maintain facility, production and supporting equipment.
-Maintain all equipment (production, facility, grounds) along with all associated infrastructure, including hardware, air, gas, PLC's, water and waste water.
-Performs preventative maintenance and tactical maintenance.
-Maintains all records for preventative and tactical maintenance.
-Maintains equipment warranties and all maintenance records.
-Investigate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
-Assembles and installs mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems, including production machinery, tooling, conveyor systems and storage racks and tanks.
-Responsible for adjustments, synchronization of equipment and equipment up-time.
-Establish and implement maintenance SOPs, including embedded safety procedures.
-Develop, maintain and manage spare parts inventory.
-Follow general housekeeping procedures, including sweeping, machine and tool cleaning.
-Ensure that maintenance staff complies with relevant OSHA regulatory requirements and that all machine guarding is compliant with OSHA standards.
-Routinely report maintenance status and issues to General Manager to help insure up-time of production operations.
-Prepares and presents regular maintenance reports.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Gather quotes for outside parts and services and placed orders as approved.

Qualifications:
-3-5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; technical or trade school desired.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Quality conscious person.
-Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
-Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities and time schedules with enthusiasm.
-Able to perform basic math.
-Qualifications in the following areas a plus: welding, refrigeration, programmable logic controls and variable frequency drives.
-Welding experience a plus.
