Sojourn Cellars is a highly-acclaimed, artisan producer of Pinot noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay located in the town of Sonoma. We are looking for a professional, driven, experienced Finance Manager/Director to manage all financial operations of the company, including all accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, inventory, tax and compliance activities. Daily duties range from basic bookkeeping to forecasting and production of sophisticated financial reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Complete the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes, as well as timely preparation of GAAP financial statements and internal and external reporting
• Develop and produce financial dashboard and key performance indicators to facilitate decision making and discussions with senior team
• Prepare annual budgets and related periodic reporting
• Complete all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger/journal entries, accounts receivable/invoicing, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing management, and bank/credit card reconciliation
• Manage order upload to general ledger from existing sales systems
• Track and manage all company fixed assets (acquisition, disposition, depreciation)
• Work with outside consultant to complete inventory costing, and collaborate with winemaking team to develop standard fruit, cellar and bottling cost parameters for reporting and budgeting purposes
• Oversee monthly physical counts and inventory reconciliations
• Completion of sales, excise and property tax returns
• Oversee compliance and federal and state tax return preparation
• Work with brokers to manage all aspects of corporate insurance (general liability, property, workers compensation, bonding, employee benefits package)
Education, Training and Other Requirements
• 3 to 5+ years senior accounting management experience in manufacturing or consumer products (wine experience a plus, but not required)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field (CPA highly desirable)
• Deep QuickBooks knowledge
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in budgeting, planning and forecasting
• Strong communications, organization and time management skills
• Comfort with a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
