Laboratory Intern (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

We're looking for a laboratory intern to join our winemaking team for the 2020 Harvest Season. As an intern, you'll be expected to be an integral part of the winemaking team and participate in all aspects of the winemaking process, from the vineyard all the way through to bottle. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:

General laboratory work (Sampling, BRIX testing, operating DMA, titration, operating pH meter including calibrations, operating spectrometer, enzymatic testing, cleaning, SO2 aspiration, operating centrifuge, etc.
Work with winemaker on sensory evaluations and quality assessments
Data entry and record keeping
One the job training is available. As far as lab work goes the tests performed are relatively simple and straight forward, however, tests need to be accurate and consistent.
Work can be challenging, with long hours. The ideal candidate is able to stay focused for long hours at a time. Candidates should also be fluent in English.

Type: Seasonal Full Time

Pay Scale: 14$ hr + Overtime

Employment Start Date: TBD Aug- Sep

Employment End Date: TBD Oct – Nov
