Here is your opportunity to work in the heart of Tin City with an established winery full of badass people. Desparada Wines is looking for a hard working, enthusiastic, and motivated individual that wants to assist in the production of amazing wines

Responsibilities:
Cleanliness is priority in all things: general sanitation, cleaning and maintenance of cellar and equipment
Ability to prioritize workload and handle deadlines with focused attention to detail
Perform wine movements such as racking, transfers and filling
Barrel work including stacking, steaming, washing, filling, racking, topping and maintenance
Bench trials, blending exercises, bottling coordination and readiness
Forklift operation including grape bins, barrels, cased goods and tanks
Manage a small team of workers during harvest
Fermentation maintenance and monitoring
Maintain and update harvest-related and blending-related spreadsheets and trackers
Cased good warehouse coordination and maintenance

Requirements and Qualifications:
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, team player and the ability to hustle when needed
Cleanliness
Strong communication and organizational skills
Passion for wine and willingness to learn and improve skill set
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office - mainly Excel
Familiarity with InnoVint, or similar winery software preferred
Proficiency with laboratory measurement equipment preferred
Schedule flexibility during harvest and bottling seasons
5+ years winery experience
Must be +21 years old
Valid Driver’s License
Forklift certification and RBS training required and supplied upon hiring
Physical Requirements:
Perform standard winery cellar work, including carrying up to 50 lbs
(Moving barrels, case goods, and heavy hoses)
Ability to work long hours in the cellar, especially during harvest
(Cold, wet, and noisy environments)
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to be climbing, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and carrying in order to complete tasks at hand
