Outland is a contemporary tasting room in downtown Napa, sharing wines produced by Poe, Farella, and Forlorn Hope. Our joint space allows guests to taste an array of wines, ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir to Trousseau and Picpoul. Although we work with diverse appellations and varieties, we have a common vision: to create a single place to experience our high quality wines, foster education and ideas, and to share wine with our friends and community.
We are looking for a part-time, detail-oriented Tasting Room Host to assist in our downtown Napa tasting space, 15-25 hours/week. This is a great opportunity to work with small vintners who produce a wide selection of varieties, and to learn about winemaking from the source. We are looking for someone who is personable, passionate about wine, and has a desire to both learn more and to teach guests about the history, vineyard sites, and winemaking practices related to our three producers.
In addition to hosting tastings, your role would include:
• Facilitating sales and wine club sign-ups through an exemplary tasting experience
• Accurately managing all sales transactions, including the occasional opening, closing, and daily operations of cash register
• Helping maintain an accurate count of daily inventory and samples
• Ensuring that the tasting room remains a clean, comfortable space for guests
Outland is open Wednesday through Monday, 1-7pm.
