Trefethen Family Vineyards is looking for the right individual for an important customer-facing position. We are a family-owned estate vineyard and winery operation in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. For 50 years, we have been crafting world-class wines with our own estate grown grapes. Our historic winery, originally built in 1886 and re-opened in the spring of 2017 after a full restoration, is the centerpiece of our estate and the focal point for the many visitors we receive each year.
This part-time position will be the first and last person our guests see and thus an integral part of our hospitality team, helping us provide exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities
• Greet all customers upon arrival to the estate
• Explain and sell all available experiences and collect necessary fees, upsell to reserve tastings
• Manage table seating and appointments in real-time
• Assist in the sale and packaging of wine
• Field telephone calls regarding tasting appointments and other visitor information
• Maintain and monitor the reservations calendar
• Work with Outbound Sales supervisor to assist with and conduct outbound phone sales, VIP customer management and customer service
• Work with Wine Club Coordinator to assist with club member guest service, customer outreach, and order fulfillment
• Assist with hospitality events on site and off site as needed
• Engage in proactive teamwork with all members of the hospitality team
Requirements
• A welcoming and cheerful disposition with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in hospitality
• Ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge of Google calendar, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to learn and operate WineDirect POS system
• Wine knowledge a plus
Working Conditions
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Operate a desktop computer using keyboard and mouse, employing repetitive arm and wrist motions
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
• Specific vision abilities require close and distance vision
• Sit for long periods of time
• Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch or climb stairs
