Bookkeeper (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

  Napa, California

An established vineyard and winery operation in Napa is looking for a four day a week bookkeeper.  We currently produce 25,000 cases annually and farm over 150 acres of grapes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

-  Daily office operations

-  Harvest Procedures, assist in vineyard in morning hours with weighing grapes and recording, keep track of all records on excel spreadsheets

-  Maintain and reconcile monthly bank statements, post all financial transactions, sales and expenses into Quickbooks Pro

-  Record information into general ledger, balance general ledger accounts, prepare trial balances and financial statements

-  Review financial reports and accounting records for accuracy, completeness and complliance with standards

-  File and process all CA sales Tax

-  Work with outside CPA for year-end tax preparation

-  HR functions include compliance postings, processing payroll and employee benefits and registering new hires

-  Assist auditors in the conduct of periodic audits

-  Type reports, correspondence and related materials

-  Answer telephone and written inquiries and provide information as appropriate

-  Perform duties related to the job, as assigned

 

Requirements:

-  4 years accounting experience

-  Advanced proficiency with Quickbooks, Excel and Microsoft Office

-  ShipCompliant experience a plus

-  Wine industry experience/knowledge preferred

-  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-  Strong organizational, probelm-solving and analytical skills
