Eleven Eleven Winery is currently looking for Seasonal Harvest Cellar employees.The ideal candidate would have worked at least 2+ previous harvests domestically or abroad, or have a deep interest in winemaking. Familiarity with all aspects of wine making is desired. The ability to work long hours, maintain a level head, a positive attitude, and attention to detail are a must. This is a dynamic work environment requiring a flexible, can-do attitude. Our cellar produces our Eleven Eleven wines as well as custom crushing for a number of clients. This environment provides exposure to a variety of winemaking styles and access to some of Napa Valley's finest winemakers.
Job Description:
-Cleaning/Sanitation
-Grape Processing
-Press work
-Barrel Work such as filling, topping and stirring
-Rackings
-Additions to juice, must and wine
-Performing punchdowns and pumpovers
-Fermentation Monitoring
-Pomace removal
-Special projects
Qualifications:
-Has worked through at least 2 harvests (or a passion to learn winemaking)
-Willing to work long hours and 7 days a week
-Ability to stand up for long periods of time
-Ability to listen and take direction
-Desire to learn
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Ability to be a self-starter
-Ability to solve problems on the fly
-Ability to lift 50 pounds as well as bend and squat regularly throughout your shift
-Spanish desired
-Reliable transportation and clean DMV
-Strong Communicator
The position would begin, depending on the timing of harvest, August through November. The starting and ending dates are flexible and subject to change.
