Regional Sales Manager - Southern CA/Nevada (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Matchbook Wine Company is seeking a hardworking, energetic Regional Sales Manager to represent our wine brands with our distributor in all aspects of sales to broad market and chain accounts in the West South Region. This position will be based in Los Angeles/Orange County and will be responsible for Matchbook Wine Company business in Southern California and Nevada.

Essential Responsibilities
•  Be proactive in making regular sales calls, growing sales volume and developing working relationships with key accounts in the territory independent of the distributor sales force.
•  Interact with all levels of distributor sales and management in the defined territory.
•  Report regularly to the District Sales Manager at Matchbook Wine Company. 
•  Work with distributor account managers and division managers in expanding the account base of Matchbook Wine Company wines and corresponding case volume.
•  Motivate distributor management and sales force to achieve MWC sales and distribution objectives.
•  Work with distributor management communicating all relevant information regarding MWC products, pricing, profitability, priorities, goals and objectives.
•  Monitor and achieve MWC goals in the defined area.
•  Conduct sales meetings with distributor management and sales personnel.
•  Represent MWC at promotional events and tastings for the distributor, trade and consumers.
•  Prepare and submit monthly market feedback reports.

Qualifications
•  Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal or no supervision and schedule a productive and comprehensive work load on a daily basis.
•  Reside in the greater Los Angeles area, with a working knowledge of the Southern California market and key accounts, with a focus of building sales in this important market.
•  Must be a good communicator and have the ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
•  Must possess broad computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
•  Must possess strong organizational and management capabilities.
•  Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
•  Must have comprehensive knowledge of wine, the wine industry and the food & beverage industry.

Required Education and Experience
•  A Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience is required.
•  3-5 years sales experience in the wine industry, either at the distributor level, supplier level or both.
•  Previous restaurant or retail wine experience is a plus.
