Tyler Winery is an estate producer of high-end Santa Barbara County wine, focusing primarily on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We also work with Loire, Bordeaux and Rhone varieties, and make a small amount of sparkling wine. No previous winery experience is required. You will work alongside owner-winemaker Justin Willett and his team.
The work can be long, but also rewarding and fun, and you’ll learn a lot. This is a paid harvest internship / seasonal position from approximately August 15th – October 31st, with the opportunity for a full time position for the right person.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing a variety of cellar operations, including but not limited to:
• Grape receiving and processing
• Wine/must movements
• Cap management, punch-downs, pump-overs
• Fermentation monitoring
• Barrel activities (cleaning/filling)
• Equipment and tank sanitation
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be reliable, on-time, and engaged
• The ability to work independently
• Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
• Effective communication skills
• Must secure own housing and transportation to and from winery
