Scope:          The Brand Ambassador role is responsible to curate and host events and activities around the country with the goal of 1) Member acquisition + leveraging existing partnerships as well as initiating and developing new professional partnerships; 2) Wine sales; and 3) Member Engagement & Retention. The Brand Ambassador will execute a variety of consumer sales initiatives through in-person and online private tastings, receptions and dinners, development, and maintenance of relationships with key customers and luxury partners to educate, build reputation, acquire club membership, generate revenue, and create authentic, personal Gary Farrell brand experiences as an extension of our Tasting Salon. During the pandemic, the role will be virtual, transitioning to a hybrid of in-person, on-the-road and virtual experiences post-pandemic as stated above.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Brand Ambassador (60%)

·        Provide a unique Gary Farrell brand experience in-person, at the winery, on the road and virtually.  

·        Responsible for sales and sign-up generating events + member engagement events, such as, wine dinners, wine receptions, interactive virtual events, wine seminars, private booking experiences etc.

·        Design, coordinate and host wine events throughout the country with a goal of acquiring new Grand Crew members and engaging our existing membership.

·        Develop regionally appealing and entertaining activities to draw a qualified wine consumer in attendance.

·        Prospect, pitch and secure avenues to reach and onboard new customers to attend our virtual events.

·        Leverage existing partnerships (HRC, City Club, Inspirato, SVB, etc) to create opportunities to market directly to their clients to attend regional events, or create personalized experiences curated specially for them.

·        Identify new sales leads/avenues and discover, infiltrate and curate prospective networks.

·        Seek out new business partners with the goal of reaching new demographics of audience and onboarding new customers and prospective members.

·        Responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with qualified new customers, luxury partners, and existing members.

·        Engage members and provide value-add services to keep them active in their membership.

·        Capture customer information for future sales and marketing efforts.

 

·        Finesse a membership acquisition sales pitch to close the acquisition of qualified members.

·        Meet event specific metric goals of 50% new customer onboarding and 10% conversion to wine club membership.

 

Event Planning (40%)

·        Organize all of the particulars needed to execute regional virtual experiences – wines, event outline, food pairings, etc., and coordinate wine order transactions and delivery logistics.

·        Coordinate all aspects of on the road travel, including airfare; transportation; hotel and venue location for receptions.

·        Work with distributor partners to arrange wine dinners in specific markets.

·        Secure the guest agreement to host in-home private tasting events.

·        Organize all of the particulars needed to execute event experiences – wines, event outline, food pairings, rentals, etc.

·        Request shipment of wine and POS particulars to each location or consumer, and follow tracking to ensure successful delivery.

·        Develop policies, procedures, templates and “best practices” to define and document the roadmap for success.

·        Create a tracking sheet to provide details of each event in order to make informed decisions in the future.

·        Other tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

·        Dynamic sales skills with the ability to meet individual and team goals.

·        Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

·        Self-motivated and team-oriented.

·        Exceptional hospitality and communication skills to deliver a “Michelin Star” level guest experience. 

·        Wine knowledgeable and exudes passion for Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

·        Positive professional demeanor with at least two years tasting room and/or retail sales experience.

·        Computer proficiency (POS systems and MS Office + Zoom Meetings).

·        Must be at least 25 years of age.

 

Physical Requirements:

·        Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis

·        Ability to work in a standing and/or walking position for long periods of time

·        Ability to travel on an airplane and automobile
