Tasting Room Sales Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Dorcich Family Vineyards is a boutique family owned winery located on the popular Gilroy wine trail. Our grand opening is scheduled for February 2018. We are currently looking for wine passionate entergetic candidates to join or tasting room sales team.

Tasting Room Duties

• Greet visitors and conduct tastings in a professional, energetic manner while ensuring a memorable tasting experience
• Describe our wines, our techniques and history to visitors
• Effectively suggests and sell wine and wine club memberships
• Book and provide private tastings and guided tours
• Accurately handle routine POS transactions and update customer information
• Stock wine and glassware while maintaining tasting room cleanliness and overall aesthetics 
• Open and close the tasting room
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail sales, preferably in the wine or hospitality industry
• Knowledge of wine and an interest in developing expertise in wine
• Friendly, outgoing and energetic with exceptional communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail while working in fast pasted environment 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks

This is a part time position working 2-3 days per week (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) with an occasional weekday with upcoming events

Training: Week of January 29th and February 5th
Start date: Week of February 12th
Salary: Hourly DOE + wine club sign on bonus
