ROAR Wines is a family-owned winery specializing in small lots of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Viognier and Grenache from the Santa Lucia Highlands.

We are currently looking for harvest interns for the 2018 vintage to work at our brand-spanking new production facility in Castroville of the Monterey County. Harvest at ROAR offers a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of small lot wine production. As an intern, you will work directly with our esteemed and veteran winemaker, Scott Shapley.

We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who can follow written and verbal instructions to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates for the position should be passionate about wine, have positive attitudes, be detailed-oriented, and willing to work hard.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Equipment and Tank Sanitation
•  Crushing, Sorting, Destemming
•  Inoculations
•  Fermentation Monitoring and Additions
•  Cap management
•  Drain & Press Operations
•  Barrel Preparation
•  Operation of harvest equipment
•  Wine/must movements
•  General winery clean up
•  Must be able to push or pull 100 lbs
•  Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders and at heights

Duration: September to November 2018

Candidates must be able to legally work in the United States. We cannot accommodate international candidates needing visa sponsorship at this time.
