Tasting Room Manager (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is a one-of-a kind property in South Napa Valley with an incredibly talented estate chef and multiple high end guest experiences that take place both indoors and on beautiful veranda and patio areas.  You will also have the unique and exciting opportunity to manage a young, talented team selling two great portfolios in one exceptionally beautiful tasting room. 

Here are some of the exciting areas this Manager will oversee and be involved in:

-Recruit, Train, Supervise and Evaluate Hospitality Associates and Wine Educators. Provide support and coaching as needed to improve and develop individual and group sales performance
- Conduct weekly staff meetings to discuss goals & performance
- Accurately manage/handle all sales transactions, including the opening, closing and daily operations of cash registers, and ensure all Associates can do the same
- Maintain accurate count of daily inventory and samples used in tasting room.
- Assist in planning and implementation of Wine Club and Hospitality events
- Work with the DTC Team to successfully execute the monthly, quarterly and yearly marketing calendar
- Work with Wine Club to develop membership experiences that deliver on-going loyalty as well as assisting w/ account maintenance and member management
- Collaborate with our Events Manager to assist in the creating of guest experiences for large groups
- Process all shipping orders (Visitor Center, phone & internet) and ensure that all orders are within states individual regulations
- Monthly Retail Compliance Reporting
- Create and promote new visitor experiences

Key Competencies & Job Requirements:

Previous Tasting Room management/lead experience
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Proven track record as a motivated and inspiring team leader
Knowledge of wines and wine production
PC skills including MS office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Internet browsers, etc.
Experience with Vin65 POS system
Knowledge of ShipCompliant strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong background in SOP creation and back of the house process management
Solid understanding of social media platforms, specifically Yelp and TripAdvisor
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be 21 years of age or older

Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; Able to stand for extended periods of time
