IT Consultant (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Fine Vintage is seeking a wine-loving IT Consultant on a long term basis, working hourly as and when required, to support our current tech team. 

The position can be based anywhere in North America but ideally on the west coast, and ideally in Vancouver, Canada.  

We are searching for a generalist and that can be on-call for any system emergency, which could span multiple products and external services. You must be extremely efficient and have experience with the following:

  • Website: Wordpress + WooCommerce + Divi theme hosted on WP Engine
  • Course Registration: custom ASP.NET WebForm application + Microsoft SQL + Service Bus Message Queues (hosted on Azure Windows virtual host).
  • Course Administration: custom ASP.NET WebForm application
  • Online Courses are hosted on Litmos, which is integrated with ASP.NET registration system
  • Wine Jobs websites: custom multi-tenant ASP.NET WebForm application + Microsoft SQL (hosted on same Azure virtual host)
  • Payment gateways: Paypal & PsiGate, using custom coded integrations in C# and from WooCommerce
  • Video Hosting: Vimeo is used to host password protected videos, user sign-up and subscription management is done with WooCommerce + Subscription plugin
  • Emails & Marketing: all systems integrate with SendGrid and Campaign Monitor to deliver transactional and marketing emails
  • Custom reusable .NET modules: used for common tasks throughout the system such as integration with payment gateways, database connectivity, payload distribution
  • Google Workplace: used for internal user directory, emails, groups and storage

Compensation is on an hourly basis
