DTC Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The DTC Manager builds the Napa Valley’s most significant Direct to Consumer Business in order to strengthen the Chandon brand franchises among consumers.

The DTC Manager is responsible for:

Manage, Develop and Grow Club Chandon Wine Clubs: 50%

•  Executes plans, monitors progress and analyzes performance against goals.

•  Accountable for Wine Club membership growth, developing promotional materials, shipment schedules, monthly promotions, member events and member services.

•  Lead the strategic plan development for the winery 

•  Develop effective acquisition programs to acquire new customers via web, strategic partnerships, events, Internet, email and direct mail while working closely with the Visitor Center Managers & Site Events and Wine Communications team

•  Develop effective retention programs in order to reduce attrition rates.

•  Oversee direct shipping compliance and ensure maximum compliance is achieved. 

•  Oversee customer service messaging to increase customer satisfaction.

•  Improve member experience during winery visits.

•  Improve and maintain systems in order to meet customer demands and improve internal efficiencies.

•  Oversee management of multiple inventory locations.

•  Improve efficiencies of systems and database management.

•  Responsible for wine club planning, including long-term plans for wine club shipments and written material, coordination with Warehouse and shippers.

•  Work closely with production planning team to ensure future product demand is met.

•  Oversee the management of outbound telesales programs to drive incremental member sales.

•  Maintain up to date knowledge of state regulations on marketing activities, wine shipping rules, varying and changing regional economic trends, and three-tier business model.

Grow the Chandon E-commerce Business 50%

•  Develop and implement compelling consumer wine and merchandise offers.

•  Oversee shipping and order processing.

•  Manage third party direct wine sales through partners 

•  Manage the execution of employee and LVMH wine sales

•  Partner with IT Manager to improve site traffic and system functionality.

•  Work with Business Analyst to identify profitable segments and develop programs to increase revenue.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education: Undergraduate degree is required or commeasured experience.

Languages : English required

Professional experience & know-how : 

•  Some knowledge of wine and luxury goods is required although previous experience in wine Marketing is not a pre-requisite.

•  Understanding of consumer trends and behaviors is required.

•  Writing skills and project management experience is required.

•  Sales experience is required.

•  CRM and data analysis experience is required.

•  E-Commerce experience is required, with web site design and creation a plus.

•  Knowledge of analytical tools such as Google Analytics is a requirement.
