Martinelli Winery, located in the Russian River Valley, is seeking outgoing, friendly and diligent applicants for full time Tasting Room, Retail Sales, Hospitality and DtC admin duties. This position offers potential for growth for top performers/right person. In addition to full time we are also seeking part time 2-4 day a week year-round employees.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver an unforgettable hospitality experience with emphasis on the Martinelli family history, vineyards and wines.
• Tasting room admin responsibilities including primary role in scheduling tastings, shipping order entry and support to Tasting Room Manager and Hospitality Supervisor.
• Answers phone calls and emails for reservation inquiries, assisting guests with reservations, requests for information, and other inquiries.
• Perform daily Tasting Room functions: pouring/selling wine at the front bar and outdoor venues, opening/closing duties, unloading wine deliveries, packing orders, etc.
• Set up and break down private tasting experiences.
• Wash and polish wine glasses from front bar, all winery events and private tasting experiences.
• Assist with on and off site winery events.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous wine experience in tasting room preferred.
• Proficiency in outlook, Microsoft office and Vin65 knowledge a plus.
• Friendly, enthusiastic and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to lift and maneuver wine cases up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Flexible schedule: Weekend and holiday work is required.
• 21 years of age or older.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Hourly wage based on experience plus commission and wine club incentive.
