JOB STATEMENT:
The District Manager’s major responsibilities are to work with assigned salespeople in their assigned territory to help them increase their sales, through a series of ride-alongs with the assigned salesperson the District Manager is to evaluate the skills and abilities of the Territory Sales Representative and to recommend improvements and if necessary replacement. The District Manager is to work independently to increase sales in their assigned area and to participate in all assigned company sales events as directed by senior management. District Managers are to dress professionally and appropriately. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•  Work with assigned salespeople on a systematic basis as directed by senior management. 
•  Know key customer personnel (buyers) and maintain a good rapport with them. 
•  Review assigned salespeople daily reports and make sure they are current.
•  Review assigned salespeople sales and collection reports and make sure that all quotas and collections are made. 
•  Work independently of assigned salespeople to improve sales in key accounts. 
•  Be aware of competitive activity that can adversely affect our sales efforts and devise a strategy to overcome it. 
•  Advise senior management of areas where the company can save money and/or promote company efficiencies.
•  Keep assigned salespeople advised of sales trends, promotions, special pricing, etc.
•  Advise senior management of all problems and opportunities and recommend solutions. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Equipment:
•  Calculator (all functions)
•  Cell Phone / PDA/Handheld
•  Computer (laptop or desktop)
•  Microsoft Word and Excel programs

Knowledge of:
•  Supervisory Techniques
•  Wine making/Production, Viticulture techniques
•  Wholesale Distribution Systems and Marketing concepts.

Skills in:
•  Sales Training
•  People Skills (Communication and understanding human behavior.)
•  Leadership
•  Negotiating

Ability to:
•  Interact with and effectively supervise different people.
•  Make sound decisions regarding sales and personnel.
•  Work independently and effectively in assigned area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands to successfully perform the essential duties of this job are represented below.
Employee frequently required to:
•  Sit for an extensive period of time 
•  Lift occasionally (office materials, wine boxes)
•  Perform tasks using standard computer equipment
•  Use hands to grasp, feel, move, reach or assemble 
•  Use average visual abilities including close and distant vision
•  Expressing ideas/instructions through spoken words (accurately, loudly)

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
Employee will be exposed to:
•  Limited noise level
•  Indoor climate

- All employees must be trained and familiar with Bronco Wine Company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
- Report any accidents and any unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.
- Personal Protective Equipment Required: Side shield safety glasses, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility.
