Tasting Room Sales Associate

Europa Village is seeking a part time sales associate to work in our fast paced tasting room. The ideal candidate has a passion for wine with an out-going, self-motivated and energetic personality. Strong restaurant, customer service and sales skills are a must. With multiple tasting experiences, our sales associates must be versatile in their approach, willing and able to adapt to different levels of experience and consumer knowledge whether they are with large or small groups, wine consumers or the novice.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of our sale associates is to maximize wine sales and enlist new wine club members through their ability to:

• Provide a superior customer experience and service and provide guests with knowledge on the unique qualities of our wines and how they differ from other wines in the Temecula Valley and beyond.

• Develop rapport with the customer.

• Communicate the winery’s story and wine quality.

• Professional, courteous presentation

Qualifications:

• Possess strong wine knowledge; passion for small production hand-made wines a plus

• Outgoing and energetic personality

• Ability to create a memorable experience for guests who enter the property through a high standard of customer service

• Ability to operate POS systems and manage high volume wine and merchandise transactions while possessing a high level of integrity for performing sales transactions

• Team player - willingness to work with other sales associates to reach monthly and daily sales goals

• Possess excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate with groups of different sizes and levels of wine knowledge.

• Two years minimum experience in wine industry, restaurants, luxury retail or hospitality, working directly with guests

• Ability to follow direction and procedures as well as multi-task

• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds on a regular basis

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays

• Must be 21 years of age or older
