Shipping Clerk (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Ability to perform all Shipping and Warehouse office duties, enter correct information into computer database.  Work closely will all Shipping and Warehouse personnel.  Will be required to work in both our Stockton and Ripon warehouse locations.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Ø  Print pick tickets and process

Ø  Bill shipments and able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms.

Ø  Dispatch workload to Shipping personnel

Ø  Track empty and loaded trailers, coordinate hostler movements and priorities

Ø  Process inbound transfers

Ø  Move and adjust inventory with the involvement of both the Inventory Control Coordinators

Ø  This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Ø  Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks in the warehouse environment

Ø  Must be able to travel between facilities

Ø  Working environment has exposure to related warehouse equipment and associated noise levels

Ø  Primary work environment is an office environment

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Ø  Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Ø  Ability to work under pressure

Ø  Must be very accurate with a well-developed attention to detail

Ø  Good verbal & written communication skills

Ø  Excellent interpersonal skills

Ø  Computer skills in Microsoft Word & Excel

Ø  Basic knowledge of accepted inventory procedures and practices

Ø  Must be able to work overtime and any shift

Ø  Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions

Ø  Must successfully pass all testing requirements

Ø  High School Diploma or equivalent

Ø  Must have excellent attendance and safety record

Ø  After qualification, the company may require First Aid, CPR and/or other certifications necessary in Shipping/Warehouse environment

Ø  Support and model all company procedures and policies
