Based in St. Helena, Copper Cane Wines & Provisions was founded in 2014 by fifth-generation winemaker Joseph Wagner. Before Wagner formed Copper Cane, he created Belle Glos vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs one of the U.S. market’s hottest luxury wine brands.

Today, Copper Cane’s portfolio of wines includes: Elouan Pinot Noir from Oregon, Elouan Rose, Belle Glos Pinot Noirs from prime California coastal vineyards, Carne Humana Red and White Wines from Napa Valley, Beran Zinfandels of California, and Steorra, a Brut sparkling wine made of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley.

We are looking for a Production Coordinator to work with the Copper Cane Bottling Team a results driven company that deeply value relationships and pride ourselves in the positive culture we have developed with our distributor partners and with each other.

JOB SUMMARY
Production Coordinator is responsible with administration and coordination of tasks within the Bottling Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
•  Ability to work hands-on within a team of long-time employees
•  Ability and willingness to work variable hours/days required. 
•  Will become familiar with the operations of the bottling line, shipping operations, warehouse operations, and related work groups in order to provide timely information and
support of bottling line productivity
•  Promptly, clearly, and confidently communicates with Production Manager or Winemaking if wine or equipment is not conforming to quality assurance parameters
•  Performs warehouse audits of finished goods
•  Logistical support for bottling and transport of finished goods/Trucking coordination
•  Assists departments as assigned for special projects, large bottle bottling and packaging
•  Works to ensure start time and production targets and timetables are met as directed by Production Manager.
•  Coordinate and schedule shipments of packaging supplies to coincide with bottling
•  Order packaging/dry goods and supplies related to all bottling activity (glass, cork, capsules, cartons, labels, etc.)
•  Oversee and maintain quality control records throughout bottling to ensure proper specs for various packaging elements.
•  Maintain daily production goals, and manage productivity, efficiencies, and product quality
•  Ensure accurate documentation of BOM’s & COGS for each wine bottled
•  Perform basic quality checks on incoming dry goods.
•  Perform inventory cycle counts and document results.
•  Perform any other task as assigned by the Production Manger
•  Perform routine line checks using a variety of methods, including visual inspection weight and fill heights of wine in bottle.
•  Prepare all safety tailgates and input training records into the Safety Binder
•  Review and revise SOPs with direction from management
•  Communicate production numbers to wine making, finance and coordinate printing of daily schedules and revisions for the lines
•  Pull quality records as necessary for management
•  Track all quality holds - put together quality reports as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
•  High School Diploma or equivalent – AA degree preferred
•  Must have (3) years of administrative experience
•  Must be flexible in working overtime or other shifts due to operational needs
•  Proficient in MS Office 
•  Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills with attention to detail
•  Ability to set priorities and work independently within set guidelines
•  Strong knowledge of production/manufacturing operations a plus
•  Provide good verbal and written communications to all levels of management, both internally and externally
•  Prioritize while able to adapt to changing priorities
•  Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•  Primary work environment is on the production floor
•  Position will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments with varying noise levels
•  Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks in a production environment
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
