Description

The Laboratory Technician will perform all harvest lab analysis. 
(Position starts early-mid July/August and runs through early December)
• Basic wet chemistry and enzymatic analysis for juice, must and wine.
• Monitor tank and barrel fermentations of wine.
• Supports all phases of lab record keeping.
• Set up tastings and trials, ensuring accurate review and data.
• Assist in wine evaluations.
• Performs all job functions in strict adherence to company Health and Safety protocols, and in accordance with quality control standards and standard equipment operating procedures.
• Interacts with custom crush partners.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager which may include cellar or vineyard tasks as needed.


Requirements

• Work is mainly performed in a normal lab environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time. Job duties are performed primarily from a standing position. 
• Able to work long hours and overtime 

• College degree in related field or coursework working towards degree.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current insurance, and a clean DMV record. 
• Proficiency using Excel.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry is required.
• Working knowledge of wine chemistry and microbiology required. 
• Ability to accurately complete work instructions individually or in a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
