Overview:

As Creative Services Project Manager, you will have the responsibility of efficiently managing creative project workflow from inception through completion. Reporting to our Vice President, Public Relations, you will serve as the liaison for companywide creative services requests, asset management, archiving and production scheduling needs. As our Creative Services Project Manager you will not only play an integral role in the creative production process, but also hold a cross functional position in which you'll work with various teams across the company including Marketing, Public Relations and Sales.

The Creative Services Project Manager works with the creative team to manage all production and traffic aspects of design, marketing collateral, print and packaging (hard and soft goods). They work to clearly define the timing, scope of work, budget and materials for the design and production of all projects and shepherd them through to completion. Projects include a diverse range of communication pieces, including packaging, brochures, landing pages, emails, banners, print ads and video. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, craves order and accuracy, but also possesses the flexibility and patience to gracefully manage mid-course corrections and unexpected changes.

The Creative Services Project Manager is responsible for the best way to visually represent Wilson Daniels corporate identity in all levels of graphic communication.  The Creative Services Project Manager works with the graphic designer to develop high-concept design projects for marketing, sales and public relations departments as well as for Wilson Daniels’s winery partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with budget tracking and department expenses, invoices etc.…
  • Plans and prioritizes work flow within the creative department.
  • Project management and collaboration with in-house designer to meet deadlines and company objectives.
  • Collaborates with brand and PR to formalize, edit and revise content for winery partners’ sales/press kits and website content
  • Designs, collates and disseminates new-winery sales kits/ POS/collateral/wearables.
  • Designs public relation department’s Quarterly Review newsletter.
  • Maintains POS inventory and disseminate information to sales force.
  • Collects and organizes a complete graphic library.
  • Manages design and content on website; image bank, bottle shots, marketing collateral and special tasks as assigned.
  • Designs, prints and disseminates Wilson Daniels stationery and business cards.
  • Attends press checks to deliver professional-level desired results.
  • Oversees product photo shoots and provides art direction and approval.
  • Work with marketing stakeholders to determine deliverables, develop project timelines, and adjust timelines, as needed, based on revisions.
  • Communicate and follow-up, ongoing, with creative team and other stakeholders to maintain transparency around timing of deliverables.
  • Schedule and lead regular, ongoing meetings to introduce new projects and carry projects through to completion.
  • Create feedback and evaluation loop to build continuous improvement into the team.
  • Schedule all internal and external creative review and feedback meetings, from initial project briefing through final approval.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and external agencies, including price quotes, timeline, approvals, resource allocation, and invoicing.
  • Manage delivery of final materials.
  • Coordinate and manage all final materials to and from outside vendors, including delivery of final, approved assets.
  • Manage approval process from initial feedback to legal review, proofing and final sign-off.
  • Other job duties may be required as needed.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:

  • BA in graphic or commercial design or equivalent work experience.
  • Wine industry experience is a plus (but is not required)
  • Ability to work in a Mac environment
  • Strong computer skills in Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Outlook and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  The ability to speak effectively in front of managers and employees in the organization is paramount.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  This position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.  This position also requires the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: 

  • This position requires the ability to solve practical and abstract problems creatively. 
  • This position must also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  
  • When needed, it is also essential to attain accurate content when such information is missing or incomplete using, periodicals and web resources as tools to acquire and check pertinent job information.

Other Qualifications:

  • Occasional over-night travel may be required
