Accountant (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

H&A (60 employees worldwide/ turnover $190 million) is a pioneer in Barrel Management, providing beneficial services to wineries (in France, Spain, Italy and the United States) in Barrel cost and operations. H&A Financing & Services has been established in the United States since 2010 and has now a team of 10 in its Snt Helena’s office.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accountant who will work daily with the local US Senior Accountant based in St Helena and will report directly to the Group Accountant Manager located in our French head office.

You will perform operational accounting duties (include but not limited to):  

- Allocate Cooper invoices (EUR/USD) in H&A ERP; Book General Expenses in QuickBooks (QB)

- Ensure Coopers and General expenses payments

- Interco, quarterly reconciliation with head office in France

- Weekly deposits; Booking monthly commercial/debit expenses

- Booking of outstanding invoices from lenders

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and provide appropriate weekly reports to head office

- Manage collection efforts for outstanding/past due accounts

- Manage credits/refunds for financial/removal/pro rata

- Organise and rank accounting paper files/documentation

You will have at least 3 years Accounting experience with the following skills:

- Strong computer skills and accounting rules

- Proficient in Excel, QuickBooks and able to work with proprietary database, ERP

- Very well organized, autonomous, highly motivated and dynamic

- Good communication skills and team player

- Knowledge of the wine industry and relevant tax rules considered as a plus

- French proficiency is a plus but is not mandatory
