Maintenance Technician (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Long Meadow Ranch is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facilities maintenance on various company properties. The Maintenance Technician, under general supervision, will perform a variety of maintenance and mechanical duties to install, troubleshoot and repair equipment and facilities. LMR facilities include a winery, vineyards, farm production, livestock operations, administrative offices, general store, restaurant and events.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain standard facility systems
  • Maintain equipment records and warranties
  • General mechanical work associated with various projects including HVAC, refrigeration, fabrication, electrical, plumbing, food processing, etc.
  • Use of a variety of hand, power, and machine tools to complete assignments
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain restaurant equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain farming equipment
  • Perform general carpentry and facilities maintenance
  • Other duties, as assigned

Education, Experience and Required Skills

  • A pre-employment physical and pre-employment background check is required
  • Valid CA driver’s license and must maintain a clean driving record
  • Must have a broad knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used within the facilities and maintenance trade
  • Prior facilities maintenance experience a plus
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, fabrication and carpentry operations
  • Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • A positive attitude and the desire to work hard within a collaborative team
  • Must have the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and with a team
  • Must have the ability to work some weekends and holidays
  • Must be knowledgeable regarding safety regulations
  • Lift and/or move 70+ pounds
  • Walk on uneven surfaces inside and outside including in the vineyards (hillsides)
  • Stand, squat, stoop, bend at waist and legs

Compensation and Benefits

  • This is a full-time, hourly position
