Industry leading wine company seeking current college student or recent graduate interested in, passionate about producing high quality wine.
Responsibilities:
Under direction of the Winegrower and Cellar Master, perform tasks including but not limited to:
• Pest and disease monitoring in estate vineyards.
• Pest and Sugar sampling.
• Data entry.
• Daily pumpovers .
• Racking wines.
• Digging out tanks for pressing.
• Washing and filling barrels.
• Coordination with lab for additions.
• Miscellaneous tasks.
Requirements:
Highly organized and detail oriented, able to work autonomously with adequate instruction, effective communication skills, strong computer skills (including Microsoft Excel), able to lift 50 lbs, able to work outside on uneven terrain under various weather conditions, willing to work long hours and weekends during key periods throughout the year, willing to work with chemicals that require personal protective equipment, possessing a valid CA Driver License with clean driving record.
• Use of personal vehicle required (Company will reimburse at current Federal rate).
Duration of Internship: ASAP – End of November
Wage: DOE
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
