Heitz Wine Cellars is a family-owned winery, known around the world for producing luxury wines since 1961.
We are seeking a full-time employee to assist our winemaking team in all aspects of production.
This position is ideal for a person who enjoys being involved in a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to:
Cellar Work:
•Crushing, pressing and pump-overs
•Wine transfers, racking and blending
•Barrel Operations-racking, filling and topping
•Filtering
•Forklift Operations-barrels and case goods
•All other duties as assigned by the winemakers
Warehouse Operations:
•Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse at all times
•Packaging and shipment of wine
•Maintain inventory of all case goods within the warehouse
•Track and order shipment supplies with management approval
•Load and unload trucks/containers
•Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers. Communication skills include both verbal and written
Requirements:
•Must be 21 years of age
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
•Flexible work schedule, including some overtime and weekend work during Harvest
•Mechanical aptitude a plus
•Able to work well in a fast paced environment and thrive in a team environment
•Basic reading, writing and math skills
•Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean record
